Instruō càrn: compact stereo mixer and feature-dense signal processor

At its core, Instruō càrn is a four-channel signal processing utility with distinct features and individual outputs per channel. It is optimized for both audio signals and control voltage and packs fundamental tools for sculpting and animating sound into a compact stereo mixer format: CV panning with constant power, VCA, ring modulator and crossfader.

Stereo final sum with VCA and "end-of-chain" integration.

Used as a mixer, càrn can function as an end-of-chain summing final stage with built-in stereo VCA, perfect for controlling the level of your stereo bus directly from the rack. Plus, with stereo back jacks and the included low-profile stereo cable, it can expand cleanly to other stereo Instruō modules, keeping your setup neat and consistent.

On-board limiter: from softening to distortion on the drum bus

The optional built-in stereo limiter allows you to switch between gentle signal softening and more aggressive saturation, also useful as a "signal mangler" to give character and pressure to drum groups or entire stereo layers.

For audio and CV: AC/DC coupling, panning, ring mod and crossfade

AC/DC coupling options make càrn suitable for both audio and CV mixing. Voltage controllable panning maintains a perception of constant volume through constant power panning, while ring modulation (VCA four-quadrant) and crossfading open up timbral transformations and creative modulations, even on control signals.
