The WesAudio ngTubeComp is a next-generation Vari-MU stereo tube compressor that combines the musicality of tube compression with the advanced control of modern digital workflows. The all-analog audio path ensures a warm and natural sound, while the digital recall system and DAW integration allow all settings to be easily saved and recalled.

Thanks to its 6-valve, 4-transformer construction, the ngTubeComp offers extremely musical compression, ideal for mix buses, mastering, vocals and acoustic instruments.

Vari-MU tube compression for musical dynamics

Vari-MU compressors have been appreciated for decades for their ability to control dynamics in a natural and musical way. The ngTubeComp uses an authentic vari-mu circuit that reacts to the signal in a progressive manner, offering smooth, transparent compression ideal for stereo bus and mastering.

With up to +26 dBu headroom, the compressor easily handles high-level signals while maintaining sonic integrity and dynamics.

Three operating modes: Dual, Stereo and Mid-Side

The compressor offers three operating modes to suit different production contexts:

Dual Mono

Allows the two channels to be used independently to process two separate sources.

Stereo

Ideal for stereo buses and full mixes while maintaining balanced behavior between channels.

Mid-Side

Allows the center and side components of the signal to be processed separately, giving more control over the stereo image.

Selectable output stages

The WesAudio ngTubeComp includes two selectable output stages to suit the desired sonic character:

Tube output with Carnhill transformer

Delivers a warm, harmonically rich sound. IRON PAD control allows you to drive the transformer for more analog saturation.

Balanced electronic output

Provides a cleaner and more transparent response, ideal for applications requiring greater sonic precision.

Tube saturation and THD control.

Built-in saturation circuit allows the signal to be enriched with natural tube harmonics. The adjustable THD control allows you to switch from a very gentle saturation to a stronger, more colorful character.

Sidechain filters and advanced dynamic control

The compressor includes advanced controls to shape compression behavior:

• High-Pass filter variable from 20 Hz to 500 Hz
• High-Shelf Boost from 2 kHz to 20 kHz
• Listen mode to monitor the sidechain signal

These tools enable extremely precise and adaptable compression to any audio material.

Digital Recall and full DAW integration

The digital control system enables full integration with DAW via plug-ins, allowing all compressor settings to be saved and recalled directly within the session.

The device can also store up to 100 internal presets, allowing you to work even without plug-ins.

Analog automation and connectivity

With USB and Ethernet connectivity, the compressor can be easily integrated into the studio workflow. You can automate parameters directly in the DAW or record automations via hardware controls.
