Rear I/O Panel (MIDI, USB, Ethernet, AUX) for the Warthog System
The Adamsynths Outboard (ASR9AUME) is the external connection interface for the Warthog system. It consolidates the inputs and outputs of the Mixbooth and the Central Unit onto a single panel, routing them to the back of the Warthog: monitors, headphones, effects, MIDI controllers, and computers can be connected conveniently and neatly, without interfering with patch cables or the use of the front-panel modules.
The section dedicated to the Mixbooth routes all audio connections from the built-in mixer to the outside. The main stereo output sends the mix to monitors or an audio interface, while the stereo headphone output lets you listen to the mix and cue channels. The two AUX sends and two stereo AUX returns are designed to integrate reverbs, delays, and external processors into the signal path.
The section dedicated to the Central Unit connects the brain of the Warthog system to the rest of your setup. The 5-pin DIN MIDI IN and OUT ports accommodate keyboards, sequencers, and hardware controllers; the USB MIDI port with a USB-B connector communicates directly with your computer and DAW; and the Ethernet connection completes the Central Unit’s network connectivity.
Having audio and control concentrated on the back of the Warthog means you can connect and disconnect the system in seconds—whether you’re moving it between the studio and the stage or integrating it into a larger setup—leaving the front panel free for patching.
