The ALM Busy Circuits 52 HP 6U is a compact, two-row Eurorack case with an integrated power supply, combining the small footprint of the 52 HP format with the space of two rows of modules. It’s the ideal choice for a complete yet compact system—easy to keep on your desk or take on the road—with the added benefit of a deeper top row to accommodate even the bulkiest modules. Originally designed for the System Coupe, the ALM case has evolved into a range of formats also available individually, all featuring an anodized aluminum frame, a power switch, rubber feet, and a high-quality power supply.

The all-anodized aluminum frame is durable yet lightweight, with a total weight of approximately 1.4 kg. Its proportions are designed to sit comfortably on a table or desk—with a compact yet sufficient depth—and to fit easily into a bag. The external dimensions are 277 x 264 x 66 mm.

Deeper top row and fixed M3 rails

The top row offers an increased usable depth of approximately 54 mm, while the bottom row supports modules up to 42 mm deep—equivalent to about two stacked PCBs. All ALM modules fit seamlessly, and even deeper modules can be accommodated in the top row. Instead of sliding nuts, the case uses fixed mounting bars with M3 threads for quick and precise installation.

The fixed bus board offers 9 keyed connectors, plus an included flying bus board with 6 additional connectors, for a total of 15 connections. The +12 V and -12 V lines deliver up to 1 A each, with a rated ripple of 100 mV at full load. There is no +5 V line.

Shielded DC/DC Converter with Protections

The shielded DC/DC converter ensures a low-noise power supply and includes overload and short-circuit protection. The enclosure is powered by an included 12 V, 2 A external power supply with a 2.1 mm center-positive barrel connector and features a power switch.

ALM Accessories and Chassis Lineup

The Decksaver cover is available separately for the 6U, 52 HP format and is ideal for protecting modules and knobs during transport. The ALM chassis lineup also includes the 3U, 52 HP format and the 3U, 6U, and 9U, 84 HP formats, as well as a 3U, 84 HP version that can be mounted in a 19-inch rack, allowing you to expand your system while maintaining the same build quality.
