The ALM Busy Circuits 84 HP 6U is a compact, two-row Eurorack case with an integrated power supply, designed for those who want a complete modular system that’s still easy to transport. It offers twice the space of the 3U format—enough to build one or more complete voices with sequencers, modulations, and effects—while maintaining desktop-friendly dimensions and a lightweight design. Originally developed for the System Coupe, the ALM case has evolved into a range of formats available individually, all featuring an anodized aluminum frame, a power switch, rubber feet, and high-quality powered bus boards.

The all-anodized aluminum construction is durable yet lightweight, with a total weight of approximately 1.8 kg. The dimensions are designed to fit comfortably on a table or desk—with a compact yet sufficient depth—and to fit easily into a bag. The external dimensions are 440 x 264 x 66 mm.

Fixed mounting rails with M3 threads

Instead of sliding nuts, which are often frustrating to position, the case uses fixed mounting bars with M3 threads. Screwing in the modules is quick and precise, with no screws spinning freely or nuts shifting out of place. The usable depth accommodates modules up to 42 mm, equivalent to approximately two stacked PCBs: all ALM modules fit without any issues.

Integrated 2 A Eurorack power supply per channel

Each row features a fixed bus board with ample power and numerous keyed connectors, allowing you to connect up to 32 modules in total without the risk of polarity reversal. The case delivers up to 2 A on both the +12 V and -12 V lines, with at least 1 A per line on each bus board and a rated ripple of 100 mV at full load. There is no +5 V line.

Shielded DC/DC Converter with Protections

The shielded DC/DC converter ensures a low-noise power supply and includes overload and short-circuit protection. The enclosure is powered by an included external 12 V power supply, featuring a 2.1 mm center-positive barrel connector, and includes a power switch.

ALM Accessories and Chassis Lineup

For the 6U, 84 HP format, the Decksaver cover is available separately; it is ideal for protecting modules and knobs during transport. The ALM chassis lineup also includes 3U and 9U 84 HP formats and 3U and 6U 52 HP formats, as well as a 3U 84 HP 19-inch rack-mountable version, allowing you to expand your system while maintaining the same build quality.
