The Doepfer A-170 Dual Slew Limiter (Used) is a used module for Eurorack systems that offers two independent slew limiters, ideal for controlling voltage variation in CV signals. Perfect for achieving portamento/glide effects or for shaping signals precisely within a modular setup.

Advanced rise and fall control

Two sections with different behavior

The first slew limiter has a unique control for rise and fall (up to about 10 seconds), making it simple and straightforward for glide applications. The second, on the other hand, offers separate controls for rise and fall, allowing for more creative use and turning into a handy AR envelope generator.

Range switch and visual feedback

Both sections include a 3-position switch to define the operating range, similar to that found in ADSR envelopes. Built-in LEDs clearly show the status of the rising and falling voltage, facilitating signal monitoring.

Use with VCOs and technical notes

For precision applications, such as gait control on one or more VCOs, the use of an external buffer is recommended to avoid possible voltage leakage in older models. Versions after 2009 (Version 2) already include an internal buffer that eliminates this problem.
